Telehealth: Free full access enabled for quality psychological support

Co-parenting with a difficult ex? Worried that the COVID-19 lockdown is going to exacerbate conflict with your co-parent? Need help with managing divorce and separation right now and not sure where to turn? Well, you’re in luck because the providers of a leading telehealth psychological support service have just announced that they are offering all Australians full access to a program that normally costs $550—and for the rest of this month, it won’t cost you a thing.

Relationspace Online wishes to play its part during this very difficult time and has therefore activated full access to its program until 30 April 2020, with all enrolments during this time being granted unlimited access to the full 8 hour program completely for free.

The program is specifically designed to help parents in high-conflict separation manage intense emotions, develop more flexible thinking, increase cooperation and reduce conflict with their co-parent.

It’s an evidence-based, interactive and engaging Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) e-learning program, designed and delivered by specialist practitioners, presenting the very best of clinical practice from RelationSpace to parents located anywhere in Australia.

Parents are provided with tools to enable them to focus on their parenting and helping children adapt and cope with separation and divorce. The program is designed to be completed privately, wherever you feel safe and comfortable. You can complete it in your own time and at your own pace, using any smart device. You can record, save and revisit your work or choose to receive tips and summaries to keep you on track. Alternatively you can receive a detailed progress report or download further activities to extend your learning and practice new skills.

Using easy to understand video-based material and visually-rich, interactive and personalised content, it allows parents to access immediate support and has a proven track record of successfully helping thousands of parents.

In the program you will discover, for example:

  • The best (and worst) ways to tell kids about your separation or divorce;
  • How to find the best and most cooperative way forward for post-separation parenting;
  • How to respond to a high-conflict ex and manage your emotions.

The Honourable Diana Bryant QC, AO, former Chief Justice of the Family Court of Australia, has endorsed this program, saying:

“RelationSpace Online is a unique opportunity for parents to access online support during a relationship breakdown. It has the potential to make a really positive contribution to the psychological well-being of parents and thus is beneficial for the children of these relationships.”

Similarly, the Honourable Stephen Thackray, former Chief Judge of the Family Court of Western Australia, has praised the program:

“All parents going through relationship breakdown need as much help as they can get to protect their own wellbeing and to help their children through a difficult time. RelationSpace Online helps parents focus on their children’s wellbeing and to build healthy co-parenting arrangements with their former partner. Importantly, involvement in the program may help parents steer away from the cost and delay of court proceedings.”

This is a fantastic opportunity to access high quality psychological support whilst in lockdown and we recommend parents take advantage of this generous free offer.
